Sometime between Wednesday 9/3/2014 and Thursday 9/4/2014, there will be an audible test of the alarm system used by Martin Midstream, the industrial business located on Harbor Island Road. The purpose of this audible alarm system is to notify the public of an industrial disaster in the event of an emergency. We have been informed the system will first verbalize a warning for folks nearby. It will then emit an audible wail which will be loud to the point of being heard in town. We want to inform the residents of this test so that they will not be alarmed.
