Arrest Made in Fatal Crash that Killed Child – On Friday December 5th, 2014 at 3:53 p.m., Aransas Pass Police investigated a seven car crash on W. Wheeler at Gillespie. Five individuals were hospitalized as a result of the crash. Two small children were among the injured, one of whom has since passed away.
Today, Aransas Pass Police investigators arrested Michael Shay McElroy. McElroy, a 44 year old resident of Aransas Pass, was charged with intoxication manslaughter, a 2nd degree felony. The investigation is ongoing and further charges may ensue.
