Fatal Crash
The driver of the vehicle drove the vehicle off the roadway and struck a tree. The driver had to be extracted from the vehicle by the Aransas Pass Fire Department. Both the driver and passenger were taken to an area hospital for treatment. The passenger was later released, but the driver succumbed to his injuries.
Though the Aransas Pass Police are still investigating the crash, we do feel speed may have played a role. The deceased driver is identified as 18 YOA Mario Quiroz. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Mario’s friends and family.
