Spreading the Holiday Spirit

holiday spiritSpreading the Holiday Spirit – This year, like the many before, APPD works to spread the holiday spirit. Our goal is to reach many who would not otherwise be able to celebrate the holiday season. Our efforts are only possible with your support. Thank you for many years of success in our efforts, AP!

Fall Feast

fallfeastEach year the City works with a community sponsor to host Fall Feast. This year we’ve teamed up with the Aransas Pass Bakery Cafe. Together we [all City staff] bring you our annual Fall Feast, which is our way of saying “thanks” to our community.

A customary Thanksgiving dinner with trimmings and dessert will be served. Refreshments are provided. Just remember, this event is restricted to residents within Aransas Pass, Texas.

Come out and let us show you our appreciation!

Shop with a Cop

shopcopFS
This Christmas season marks the third year the “Shop with a Cop” program comes to Aransas Pass.

On Wednesday, December 14, 2016, selected students will shop with Aransas Pass and surrounding area law enforcement. The event takes place at the Walmart located at 2501 W. Wheeler Avenue in Aransas Pass. Afterwards, law enforcement and students will enjoy lunch together.

“Shop with a Cop” would not be possible without your kind donations.

Sgt. Anders’ Holiday Food Baskets

holiday-meal
Continuing in the yearly tradition, AP officers will be delivering holiday meal baskets to families in need. The HEB meals come complete with sides and dessert and are ready to be cooked and served, upon delivery. They feed a family of 6.

Sgt. Dennis Anders (retired) began the tradition many years ago. We strive to keep this annual event alive. If you’d like to donate, please do so in person at the Aransas Pass Police Department (600 W. Cleveland Blvd, next to City Hall). All funds are placed into the Aransas Pass PD Holiday Fund and are used for our holiday events. The more we receive, the more people we can feed. Thank you!

We appreciate all the community support. Without it, these events wouldn’t be possible. Happy Holidays AP!
