Request Police Department Records

Public Information Requests or Open Records Requests are answered in the order they are received and in accordance with Chapter 552 of The Government Code. Requests will only be responded to between the hours of 7 a.m. and 4 p.m., Monday through Friday excluding weekends and holidays. All requests must be in writing, this form will suffice for the in-writing requirement.

Basic information will always be released. However, we do hold information that may otherwise be restricted from public release. In cases where we feel the specifically requested information should not be released, a Texas Attorney General Opinion (open letter ruling) will be sought.

Some records such as accident reports, digital media, or extensive record responses may require payment up front before such records can be released.  In the event you request records that require an upfront payment, you will be notified via email or mail that your request requires a payment prior to completion.
