Aransas Pass Police Officer Arrested

ARANSAS PASS, TEXAS – In the interest of transparency and to maintain community trust which the department has worked very diligently to earn, Aransas Pass Police bring you the following information.

Aransas Pass Authorities arrested former Police Officer Jordan T. Lusk just after 10 p.m. Wednesday April 22, 2015. Aransas Pass Police, assisted by Portland Officers, arrived at Lusk’s residence to make the arrest. Lusk was processed at the Aransas Pass Police Department before being booked into the San Patricio County Jail for forgery of a government document, a 3rd degree felony.
Authorities were first informed of the suspected crime on Monday, April 20, 2015, after receiving an online complaint which alleged Lusk had forged his military record. Lusk had submitted the forged record during re-employment with the City and further benefited as a result of fabricated military training listed within the record.
Lusk first began his law enforcement career as a patrolman with Aransas Pass on June 6, 2011. On September 25, 2013, Lusk began employment with the Portland Police Department. Lusk would return to Aransas Pass on November 1, 2013. On May 5, 2014, Lusk was promoted to Patrol Corporal. Lusk also served as a diver on the departments 3 man dive team. Just prior to his arrest, Lusk resigned from the City.
