Minor Alcohol Sting

This past weekend, Aransas Pass Police Officers conducted an undercover operation designed to make sure store clerks are following the liquor laws in Texas and to catch those who sell alcoholic beverages to minors.  This operation included sending a minor into licensed establishments and attempting to purchase alcoholic beverages. This past Saturday, a minor was able to successfully purchase alcoholic beverages from two licensed establishments in Aransas Pass.  During one occasion, the minor was asked for identification and a Texas Driver license which indicated the minor’s age was presented. The sale was still made despite the ID being shown.
