Aggravated Assault (Shooting) Case #1400018762

ARANSAS PASS, TEXAS – Monday, 10/20/2014, around 10:39 p.m., police were dispatched to the 1300 Blk of N. McCampbell for a shooting that had just occurred.  When police arrived, the found a male subject in his 80’s injured from a gunshot wound.  The male subject had been inside the residence, in front of a window at the time he was shot.  Witnesses reported hearing multiple shots at the time of this event, and evidence from the shooting has been collected by police.  The victim remains hospitalized from his injuries.

Police have suspicion that the shooting was gang related and that the elderly victim was not the intended target.  Aransas Pass PD investigators continue to investigate this case and ask that anyone with tips contact Tri-County Crime Stoppers (Info listed below).
