Sharing the Holiday Spirit – We continue this year with our annual tradition of spreading the holiday spirit. Our goal is to reach as many people as possible, especially considering so many were devastated by hurricane Harvey. Just like the previous years, our efforts are only possible through generously considerate contributions. Thank you, AP, for many years of success with our holiday programs!
Sgt. Anders’ Holiday Family Meal Baskets
Continuing in the yearly tradition, AP officers will deliver holiday meal baskets to families in need. The HEB meal kits come complete with sides and a dessert and are ready to be cooked and served, upon delivery. They’re capable of feeding a family of 6.
This program opportunity is open to residents of Aransas Pass. If you or a family you know could benefit from this event, sign up below.
Sgt. Anders’ Cops for Tots Toy Drive
The 7th Annual Cops for Tots Toy Drive is underway. Over the previous years, many in need have prospered as a result of this event and your generosity. We hope we still have your support!
This year we have teamed up with the Aransas Pass Chamber of Commerce and Christmas on the Coast. The focus is Aransas Pass and closely neighboring communities which were impacted by hurricane Harvey. We’ve begun accepting toy donations. We’re seeking new, unwrapped toys for boys and girls, young and into their teens. Come by the police department and drop off the toys in the box in our lobby or leave them with department staff.
Event History
Sgt. Dennis Anders (retired) began the Cops for Tots Car Show and Holiday Food Basket events years ago. We strive to keep these annual events alive. If you’d like to donate, please do so in person at the Aransas Pass Police Department (600 Cleveland Blvd, next to City Hall). All monetary donations are used for holiday meal kits. The more we receive, the more we can feed. Thank you for your support!
Shop with a Cop
This Christmas season marks the fourth year the “Shop with a Cop” program comes to Aransas Pass.
The date has yet to be determined but will later be shared with selected children and their parents. Through the program, selected students will shop with area law enforcement. The event takes place at the Walmart located in Aransas Pass. Afterwards, law enforcement and students will enjoy lunch together.
“Shop with a Cop” would not be possible without your kind donations.
We appreciate YOUR support. Without it, these events wouldn’t be possible.
Happy Holidays AP!
