The Aransas Pass Police Department often supports outside events and organizations by allowing its officers to provide off-duty police services and security for private events. Events might include Quinceañeras, weddings, large benefits, etc. In addition, officers are occasionally requested to work off-duty police security for traffic control or escorts.
All outside police security requests must be coordinated with APPD command staff and be approved by the Chief. While providing these services, AP officers shall provide services under the guidelines and operational policies of the department. Officers will serve in a police capacity and perform under the authorities designated to them by the State of Texas.
If you wish to request police security for your event, complete our security request form. One of our command staff members will contact you to follow up with your request. Not all requests are guaranteed to receive police security approval.
