At-Risk & Vulnerable Individuals
They were there during our most vulnerable period in life...
APPD's Care Program
Aransas Pass PD is committed to providing the highest level of service to our residents and community. One main attraction to AP is our optimal location for those who are retired. Not only are we a tourist highlight along the coast, but we are a choice location for retirees. However, with that comes some particular needs outside the scope of regular policing and public safety.
As a result, the police department, working with our Fire Department and Emergency Medical Service, has created this form to allow you to report any particular needs or concerns you may have for yourself or a loved one. The information collected will be used to apprise staff of the person’s specific needs if we find ourselves responding to an emergency call or encountering them in the field.  While this information is geared toward older individuals in our community, it is also beneficial for anyone with special needs and mental health-related issues, including, for example, autistic children.
You, or the person reported, remain in total control of the information shared. However, should you decide to move or would like to withdraw your report, you may do so at any time by contacting our Community Outreach Liaison, Stephanie Diaz.
We appreciate you taking the time to share this information, as together, we both work to provide the greatest level of service and care.
... now's our time to be there in theirs.
