Back on Sunday, February 27, 2022, we shared an aggravated robbery case that left an elderly resident injured.
During that event, APPD officers responded to a report of a purse snatching at the Dollar General store located on S. Commercial St. The victim, an 89-year-old female, suffered significant injuries during the robbery. Due to the nature of these injuries and the age of the victim, the offense is an Aggravated Robbery under Texas law. Through citizen and law enforcement assistance, the suspect vehicle and two suspects Lorenzo Lopez AGE 28 and Aaron Cruz AGE 17 were identified. Arrest warrants were obtained and both have since been arrested.
