Case Assistance Request – Aggravated Assault UPDATE

On Monday, February 3, 2014, at approximately 12:20 am, victim Jerry Gill AGE 55, left the Crows Nest Bar located at 455 N. Commercial Street, Aransas Pass, Texas. As he was doing so, he motioned to the male subject in the orange and white striped shirt. This male subject then got up and followed the victim out of the bar.

A short while later, the subject in the orange and white striped returned, gathered some belongings and left the bar with his friends. Police were then summoned to the location, only to find the victim lying in a puddle of blood. Victim Jerry Gill has suffered serious injuries and remains hospitalized. Any information you have about this case would be helpful.

We understand the video and images contained herein are not of the best quality. However, we also know that people close to the individuals involved will be able to identify them and may have more information about this case.

UPDATE 2/15/2014:
This morning around 10:30 am, officers arrested Joseph Fancis Brown AGE 30 for the aggravated assault on victim Jerry Gill back on 2/3/2014.

Detectives worked tirelessly chasing several leads, some which lead them all the way into Louisiana. Once Brown realized he had been made, he became cooperative with authorities.

I’d like to recognize the hard work and relentless pursuit of justice in this case by my staff. They have not taken a break since day one and have spent many late nights trying to bring closure for this case. To my participating staff, thank you.
