The Aransas Pass Police Department provides many services outside of simply responding to calls, investigating cases, and performing proactive traffic/police enforcement. These services are not common in policing, but they are uniquely common here in Aransas Pass. Here’s a refresher on some of the extra services we provide to our community. Community partnerships are vital to safeguarding one’s quality of life.
Protecting our Most Vulnerable
APPD’s Care Program is intended for the most vulnerable of our population – our elderly and disabled. The Care Program allows the person, or a loved one, to sign an individual up who meets the criteria of the program. The information provided is shared among our first responders – Police, Fire, and EMS. In the event you or your loved one is in need, we’ll have the crucial information available to us at our fingertips. Learn more about the program today!
Online Reporting

Don’t wish to wait? Rather file the report at your own convenience without meeting with an officer? You can do that! We offer a robust online reporting system where you can file your report with the police department immediately. Though it’s not for all types of reporting, it is helpful if you just need to place a minor report, such as a lost or stolen cell phone, a minor theft, harassment, or even a child custody violation. Our online reporting system gathers your information and submits it to an on-duty officer who will proof over it and follow up with you or send it off for further investigation. The system is here as added convenience for you, not a substitution for policing. If you’d rather visit with an officer, call us at 361-758-5224 and we’ll get one assigned to you.
Vacation Checks / Extra Patrol Requests

Traveling for the summer? Add your location to our extra patrol roster. We’ll drop by regularly and unannounced to keep close tabs on your residence or business. Or, if you are experiencing a problem location around town and want it to come to our attention, you can share it too. Locations patrolled are not shared on our daily blotter report and we do not voluntarily share out that information for security reasons. However, a record is kept and maintained for your needs in the event you should need it.
