Independence Day Celebration

This year’s Independence Day celebration will occur at Conn Brown Harbor Park on Saturday, July 3rd. Fireworks will blast off promptly at 9:15 p.m., barring any unforeseen events. Please take note of these important details related to the event.

Parking & Traffic

Parking is limited. DO NOT drive over the walking path or curbs. There will be barriers set up and violators could be cited for violating these temporary rules by the City Traffic Engineer. Please note, it’s been quite wet. Parking may be more limited due to muddy grounds. Don’t get stuck!

No Man’s Land is exactly what it means. Do not park or venture into the red-shaded areas. The only exception here is those business owners on the north-easternmost portion of the red area.

Parking violations could result in towing due to safety requirements and violating the traffic plan. In addition, violations of the traffic plan could also cause damage to the newly constructed walking trail. Such damage could result in criminal charges. Again, DO NOT DRIVE on or across the walking path except for open and obviously inlets/exits.

Alternate Viewing Area

Don’t forget you can observe the display from our wonderful flatlands across the Dale Miller Bridge. You should also be able to tune in and still hear the radio broadcast from that location.
