On Monday afternoon, the Aransas Pass Police Department Dive Team and Marine Units inspected and cleaned the sea gates at the waterway entrance of Pelican Cove.
These “Sea Gates” protect the city in the event of a storm surge, and these gates are inspected yearly to ensure that there will be no issues if the gates have to be put up.
We are happy to report that the tracks were freed of any barnacles or anything inhibiting the installation, and no issues were found.
