FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

EVENT #24-3293, 3315, 3339, & 3341 — SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY & BURGLARY OF MOTOR VEHICLE(S)

Over the past several nights, a group of individuals have been going around the Windy Shores area, 2255 McMullen Ln., prowling and searching through unlocked motor vehicles. Residents and police believe one of them lost their cell phone, which detectives now have and will use to assist in the investigation. Based on our observations and the items these miscreants are passing over, they may be searching for something specific. We often recognize this activity when thieves look for firearms or other weapons left inside vehicles.

We’ve received videos and tips from some in the area. If you have yet to share your evidence and information with the police, please consider doing so.

You can share video evidence with us through the Ring Neighbors app, Facebook Messenger, or simply by calling us (361-758-5224) and speaking with an officer. If you want to remain anonymous, please submit your information and/or media with us at p3tips.com/437 (Tri-County Crimestoppers).

Reminders:

  1. Make sure your vehicles remain locked when unattended,
  2. ALWAYS remove valuables and weapons from unattended vehicles,
  3. If in use, make sure cameras are operating properly,
  4. If suspicious activity or people are observed out and about, call us at 361-758-5224 or 911 in an emergency.
