This past evening, around 8:20 p.m., Texas Highway Patrol stopped a subject for a traffic violation. The subject, Charles Tucker AGE 59, of Aransas Pass, insisted on not going back to jail. Tucker is a wanted felon at the time. Tucker fled in his vehicle into Aransas Pass and continued to evade the trooper by driving recklessly through AP neighborhoods.
Tucker drove through road signs and almost struck other vehicles as he fled law enforcement. The APPD sergeant on duty directed APPD officers to assist by monitoring and trying to obstruct Tucker’s route into neighborhoods. However, Tucker continued to evade law enforcement by finding his way into AP neighborhoods.
The pursuit ended when Tucker crashed his older blue model Dodge Durango into a resident’s fence. Tucker then attempted to escape on foot but was surrounded by officers. Officers used pepper projectiles to assist in apprehending Tucker who refused to comply with the officer’s commands. Tucker was later transported to San Patricio County Jail, where he was booked on multiple charges.
