Crystal Bath Memorial TCO Symposium

Last week we held the Second Annual TCO Symposium. As many know this event was the pride and joy of our Communications Supervisor Crystal Bath who recently passed away. In her honor, we continued with the Symposium and it has been renamed the Crystal Bath Memorial TCO Symposium.

With all the events of the last year, we still had an amazing turnout and it was a highly successful event. We had numerous instructors over the two-day event who focused on mental health, time management, family violence response, fire response, EMS response, and available technology. We even got Chief Eric Blanchard to join us for a discussion on changing the culture of an agency. Special thanks to all those that made this event be a huge success including Aransas Pass High School NJROTC and Chief Jeffers, Dr. Joe Serio with the 360 Dispatcher, Carrie DeLeon with Tri-County EMS, Chief Nathan Kelley with APFD, Judy Cervenka with TGL, Troy Cordle with Rapid SOS, all of our vendors, and all those at APPD who have worked tirelessly over the last several months to prepare for this event. Also a special thanks to our break sponsors, AP Chamber of Commerce, Fairfield Inn, Liz Dorris and Lisa Barker with Dream Team Realty, and Crossroads Church, who provided food, snacks, and drinks to the participants.

In all, we had 51 participants on day 1 and 43 participants on day 2. We are already planning for next year’s event. It will without a doubt be bigger and better every year.

Here are a few pictures from the event.
