Case #18-2349 – Manslaughter
Manslaughter “]ARANSAS PASS, TEXAS – On Tuesday evening (2/6/2018) around 11:37 p.m., officers responded to a fight in the 1000 Blk. of West Lott Avenue at approximately 11:36 pm. Upon arrival, they contacted two male subjects. One subject (unidentified male) AGE 56 was laying in the roadway and was unresponsive. The other subject was identified as Matthew Ryan Dickson AGE 29. The unidentified man was transported to the hospital and died from his injuries. Detectives were called the scene to continue the investigation.
Detectives determined that Dickson and the unidentified man had been with each other at a local bar just before getting into an altercation with one another. At some point, the two ended up in the 1000 Blk. of W. Lott Avenue where Dickson struck the unidentified man with his vehicle severely injuring him. Dickson was arrested and charged with manslaughter.
At this time, investigators continue to sift through evidence and clues trying to piece the event together. We can not release the identity of the decedent until we first notify next-of-kin.
