Aransas Pass PD Training staff host a Multi-Agency Active Threat Training course on Tuesday and Wednesday this week. The training emphasizes the importance of training, planning, and responding together to active threat situations. Often times, law enforcement trains alone for active threat, shooter situations, but we cannot forget that the EMS and fire services likewise play a vital role in stopping the dying.
We are pleased with the response we received from agencies around the Coastal Bend as well as our federal partners. We had participants from APPD, Aransas Pass FD, Tri-County EMS, Rockport FD, US Navy Security Forces, and the Federal Park Rangers. We sincerely appreciate Charlie Marshal Elementary and APISD for providing the venue for this training as well as staff to assist.
