FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

EVENT #24-6637 — MURDER

Aransas Pass detectives continue to investigate this murder. This past evening, Tuesday, April 16, 2024, just after 7 p.m., detectives received a Crimestoppers tip that Poole’s stolen Mercedes had been spotted on Parr Street in Corpus Christi, Texas. APPD detectives were already in the area, following up on uncovered leads, so they responded to the location to investigate the tip.

Upon reaching the area, the detectives immediately identified the stolen vehicle. They tactically decided to stake out the area, patiently waiting for the suspect’s return. After a thorough wait of several hours, the detectives, in a strategic move to preserve the potential evidence, decided to recover the vehicle.

Shortly after returning the vehicle to APPD, detectives received a call from CCPD informing them the suspect was in custody. CCPD worked closely alongside APPD detectives while searching for the suspect and vehicle, and they continued searching for the suspect after APPD left.

The suspect, Dylan Spencer, W/M AGE 32, was located by CCPD and arrested on unrelated charges. Detectives then executed a warrant on Dylan for the murder of Poole.

The case remains under an active and open investigation. Details surrounding the murder are limited to safeguard the integrity of the case investigation.
