November is Pediatric Cancer Month for APPD

The Aransas Pass Police Department has teamed up with The Cure Starts Now Foundation. Their mission is built on educating and assisting families battling cancer with patient-centered programs by partnering with schools and patients. Additionally, the foundation helps fund research for pediatric brain cancer. So, what does this mean for AP?

You might start to see officers or PD staff with overgrown beards or other facial hair. Additionally, the ladies and some men may have colorful facial or head hair. Ladies may also display colorfully brilliant nail polish. All of this is part of our November competition to see who wins the Ugliest Beard contest (men) and the Craziest Colored Nails or Hair contest (ladies). In order for staff to participate in this internal contest, they must first contribute to this noble cause by making a small donation.

Don’t be alarmed at our unkempt appearance, just know it’s for a noble cause.
