Now that the City is wrapping up hurricane Harvey debris removal, some will return to discarding their trash on the flats. Sadly, most who observe littering do nothing about it, according to our litter experiment. One’s silence is one’s complicity. Please, do your part; speak up!

The City Transfer Station, way out Mrytle Street, is open to residents Tuesday & Thursday from 8:30 – 11:30 a.m., and after lunch from 1-4 p.m. They’re also open Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Residents can stop in at City Hall to retrieve a free dumping voucher. Each voucher is good for one truck-load of trash. Fees apply if dumping without a voucher.
