Happy Friday, AP. It is that time of year again. Shrimporee, 2023 is upon us.
Just a few special items to note if you plan on attending this wonderful event over this weekend. Parking on site is limited. Due to the excessive rains this past week our largest parking location on site is saturated and not conducive for parking this year.
We encourage you to utilize one of the park-and-ride locations as illustrated below. Special note, however, the park-and-ride at the Civic Center and the old hospital in town are for Friday and Saturday parking ONLY. All other parking locations are available Friday, Saturday and Sunday. And, don’t forget to stop by the Aransas Pass Police Department tent and say hello to your favorite public safety officials.

The Shrimporee parade kicks off promptly on Saturday 5-20-23 at 10 a.m. If you’re a participant, please take note of the parade staging area and route. Spectators can line up along the route pathway, just please do not obstruct the roadway and be in ready before 9:45 a.m. because police will close the roadway at that time.

Pig-E-Mon continues to evolve and you won’t want to miss the new characters. Stop and talk to our officers and collect their cards.
We have several new goodies to hand out this year, too. Pick up your public safety bag filled with various neat items. Or, just stop by and say, “Hi.” We love to mingle with the fine folks who come out to Shrimporee.
