The Aransas Pass Police Department would like to wish everyone a Safe and Happy 4th of July. We would also like you to know that fireworks are illegal within the mainland area of Aransas Pass, Texas. That means unless you have driven over the Dale Miller Bridge (HWY 361) towards Port Aransas, possession or discharge of fireworks could result in hefty fines. Remember if you plan on shooting off fireworks in the flats, you need to be sure to check on the burn ban rules for Nueces County first.
Lastly, we ask that people please clean up after themselves. During past holidays, we have found a lot of trash left behind on our flats from people either camping out or engaging in fireworks. Please help keep our flats beautiful by cleaning up after yourself. If caught littering, police will be issuing citations or making arrests.
