Crystal Bath remembered at the start of National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week

Yesterday was the start of National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week. We started off our celebrations of our amazing dispatchers today. There was no more heartfelt way to start the week than to post a permanent memorial to our late Telecommunications Supervisor Crystal Bath.

Our Telecommunications Officers and Crystal’s mother joined us and helped unveil her memorial, which will live on forever in our communications center. The memorial includes a shadow box put together with Crystal’s photographs, an APPD Patch, APPD Challenge Coins, and 3 shotgun rounds from the three-round volley, which was part of her funeral. Also on the memorial is a metal thin gold line flag donated in her honor by Rapid SOS at this year’s Crystal Bath Memorial TCO Symposium and a hand-made wooden flag donated by the Richie and Gwen Martin family.

Crystal’s passing left a massive void in our department and an even larger one in our hearts, but she will be forever remembered.
