On Saturday, 9/28/2013 at 1:25 a.m., officers were sent to a local bar for a disturbance involving a male subject, Juan Ortiz Garcia DOB 10/29/1969, wearing a white shirt and blue jeans pants. Ultimately, it turned out that this suspect was wanted by parole for violating conditions of his release. Furthermore, this is the second attempt by this suspect at fleeing police within the past week. On the first occasion, police had to call off the chase do to officer safety concerns. However, this time officers were able to catch up to fugitive Garcia. After being caught, fugitive Garcia attempted to continue his escape by assaulting officers. Fortunately, suspect Garcia was apprehended without serious injury to officers or himself.
